METAL CLAY JEWELRY WORKSHOP

No need to buy jewelry as gifts. Come make THREE pieces of gorgeous handmade metal clay jewelry all in one day. All original works! Artist and Jewelry Maker Karen Hakim-Butt leads this entertaining intensive workshop where students will learn to make beautiful jewelry from metal clay. Each piece is created by the student. Students take home their pieces that day. NO art experience required. Please bring a bag lunch.
FAMILY PAINTING (Multi-generational)

This is a fun multi-generational non-traditional painting class. Artist Beth Melton-Seabrook leads her entertaining painting workshop that will get you cleverly creating while you connect with your kids. Expect smiles and laughter. No art experience necessary. All supplies provided. You will be creating whimsical turtle paintings. And... we end just in time to go for ice cream (yep, and ruin dinner). Great afternoon for grandparents and grand kids, uncle and nephews/aunts and nieces or parents and children. Please note: a child must be accompanied by an adult.
WATERCOLOR and DRAWING STUDIO with Beth Williams

Join Beth Williams in the studio where she will offer guidance for independent projects. Every week, Beth will show mini-demos in drawing, watercolor, and mixed media to inspire your individual creative ideas.
Watercolor and drawing paper and supplies provided... but students are encouraged to bring their own supplies to work with as well.
Note: Beginning (those who have taken Beth's class) and Intermediate/Advanced students are welcome. This workshop may be pro-rated if students let CAMP know prior to the start of class.

Come learn how to paint using acrylic. Instructor Beth Melton-Seabrook leads this six-week easy-going painting techniques class for beginners. Students learn color theory, placement, design, and perspective as they create original art work and build their skills as painters. Come to CAMP and explore your creative side with this entertaining no-pressure introduction to art (or come to simply step-up your creative process). Local painter Carl Turner leads this on-going monthly class. Whether you paint in acrylic or oil, this class is great for beginners as well as experienced painters who want to take it to the next level. Carl will address process, drawing, composition, brushwork, and working with color. It's a fun and focused class with an experienced teacher. Students work on independent projects of their choice. Come create simple and beautiful watercolor images. Coined "minis" because of their 4"x 4" size, students will learn easy techniques to make several original pieces that can be made into gorgeous frame-able art, given as holiday gifts, or produced into one-of-a kind cards. Do you have a story for the children's book market? Want feedback from other writers in the industry to help determine if your work is ready? Join local children's book writers for critiques, industry discussions, and inspiration. This on-going critique group is for picture book, middle grade, and young adult authors who are seriously seeking publication. Participants should have full PB manuscripts or W-I-P MG or YA manuscripts. Not ideal for new writers. Critique Host: Kathleen Fox
