Come learn how to paint using acrylic or advanced your current skills with this hybrid studio for beginning and intermediate painters. Instructor Beth Melton-Seabrook leads this six-week easy-going painting techniques class. Students learn and apply color theory, placement, design, and perspective as they create original art work and build their skills as painters. For beginners or intermediate students looking to start with a refresher class or carve time to paint better.

Come to CAMP and explore your creative side with this entertaining no-pressure introduction to art (or come to simply step-up your creative process). The Writing Circle is a group of writers who critique, support and inspire each other. Participants are encouraged to bring current work to receive feedback from the group and the instructor. All genres welcomed. This group is geared for writers seeking publication or contest submissions. Instructor: Kathleen Fox

Local painter Carl Turner leads this on-going monthly class. Whether you paint in acrylic or oil, this class is great for beginners as well as experienced painters who want to take their skills to the next level. Carl will address process, drawing, composition, brushwork and working with color. Students work on independent projects of their choice. A supply list will be email to students prior to class. Caroline’s Water Coloring Class

Come create simple and beautiful watercolor images. Coined "minis" because of their 4"x 4"  size, students will learn easy techniques to make several original pieces that can be made into gorgeous frame-able art.  Instructor: Caroline Davila. Do you have a story for the children's book market? Want feedback from other writers in the industry to help determine if your work is ready? Join local children's book writers for critiques, industry discussions, and inspiration. This on-going critique group is for picture book, middle grade, and young adult authors who are seriously seeking publication. Participants should have full PB manuscripts or W-I-P MG or YA manuscripts. Not ideal for new writers.  Critique Host: Kathleen Fox

Come make THREE pieces of gorgeous handmade metal clay jewelry all in one day. All original works! Artist and Jewelry Maker Karen Hakim-Butt leads this entertaining intensive workshop where students will learn to make beautiful jewelry from metal clay. Each piece is created by the student. This class is packed with information on working with Metal Clay.  Instructor and jewelry artist, Karen Hakim-Butts guides students through various methods and techniques for using fine silver (.999) metal clay properly and economically. Students enhance the skills they learned in the intro to metal clay class.  Students set small gems that can be fired in place (provided by the instructor), learn several techniques for making bails, make a 2 sided lentil bead pendant and techniques for layers metal clay.  Students walk away with at least 3 beautifully finished pieces of jewelry ready to wear or give as a gift. Fee includes lump fine silver metal clay (15-30 grams as needed), earring wires, one small silver chain, use of instructors tools and kiln firing and finishing.  Perfect for those who have taken the intro to metal clay class or those with other prior experience with metal clay.

Unlimiting the Limited Palette, an Outdoor Painting Workshop with R. Gregory Summers AIS/OPS. This 2-day outdoor painting workshop is for all level artists with basic understanding of the fundamentals of drawing and painting. We will be covering the essentials of painting outside using a limited palette, with emphasis on composition. Workshop will be taught in oils outdoors on location (en plein air), 9-4 daily with instructor demo at lunch. $50.00 non-refundable deposit require to hold a spot. Come make something special this spring. Artist Stephen Herchak leads this Pysanky (Ukraine) egg class for families with kids ages 12 and up. Students learn to dye eggs using a hot waxed method much like batik. A wonderful way to spend time with your kids and grands or come with a friend or spouse. Parents, Grands, Uncles or Aunts - kids, best friends, and cousins - everyone is welcome to come create theses fun paintings. Families will use non-traditional forms to paint. Think bubble wrap, flip flops, stamps and stencils. Imaginations will soar in this fun-filled afternoon.
