FALL 2017 ADULT CLASSES

Come create simple and beautiful watercolor images. Coined "minis" because of their 4"x 4" size, students will learn easy techniques to make several original pieces that can be made into gorgeous frame-able art, given as holiday gifts, or produced into one-of-a kind cards. Instructor: Caroline Davila. Class size is limited to only 6 students. All supplies and materials are included.

Using vintage medical boxes as frames, you'll create two watercolor scenes that fit perfectly into each side of your box. More experienced painters will work on more complex scenes. If you're less experienced then simple and colorful vegetables are for you. A gorgeous gift to give anyone - or ... a lovely way to treat yourself. Instructor: Caroline Davila (Yep, she's awesome!). DRAWING FOR ADULTS

We're fond of saying at CAMP - you must know the rules, before you can break them. Most art relies on drawing principles so come spend Monday evenings with instructor, Kristen Solecki, and fine-tune your drawing skills. An array of techniques and tools are provided to help you develop or enhance your artistic style. Drawing experience preferred, but not necessary. Students work at their own level of expertise with guidance from the instructor.

Come create! Using an array of unique papers, textures, and images you'll create a one-of-a kind collage on a wooden base. Then your instructor, Twoie Palmer, will apply a coat of resin to your artwork giving it shine and smoothness. Twoie spent over twenty-five years as the craft person at Elmer's Glue. Her work can be seen at The Michael Mitchel's Gallery.
INK & ALCOHOL TILES

Just in time for the holidays! This unique art form makes for a perfect gift. Instructor, Twoie Palmer will guide you through the process of applying ink and alcohol to a tile to create spectacular designs. Come create colorful magic!

Creativity doesn’t sleep. Fill your coffee mug and come join us early risers. Each week we’ll kick-start our creativity with a unique project, talk shop, and connect with like-minded creative thinkers. This class is to get adults to learn how "to play again" and by doing so, learn to create new art, enhance their current art, or just have a fun time. All supplies are included. ART FOR LATE BLOOMERS

Come to CAMP and explore your creative side with this entertaining no-pressure introduction to art. Come spend a relaxing evening learning how to create beautiful images. Led by Zentangle artist Wendy Holtzman, you'll learn how to draw structured patterns on small paper tiles. Known as the "chill-out" art form, Zentangle boosts creativity while quieting the mind. What you create will amaze you! All supplies are included. Artwork above is by Artist Wendy Holtzman.
EXPLORATION IN MIXED MEDIA

Come learn the basics of mixed media and create your very own original work of art. Jaclyn Williams guides you in a fun, relaxed, step-by-step setting. Everyone walks away with a whimsical and inspiring piece of art that can be hung on the wall. All supplies provided. Bring a bag lunch.
DOLL MAKING WORKSHOP

Come spend an autumn with artist Becky Becker. Starting with a soft 17-inch form students will use a variety of wonderful materials (leaves, lace, flowers, fabric and more) to create a one-of-a-kind doll that will be treasured. Some sewing, but absolutely no experience necessary! Doll and supplies are included.

Want to really understand your digital camera and how it can help you capture creative images and stories? Photographer Douglas Carr Cunningham guides students through the workings of their cameras and what makes a great photograph. Students need to bring their own cameras. Camera manuals are also helpful.

Ceramics - Adults & Ages 15+

Using stoneware clay, students will create a unique original Halloween or fall-themed plate. Coil, slab building and surface design techniques will be covered. All supplies and firings included.
