FALL 2017 ADULT CLASSES
BEGINNING WATERCOLOR & DRAWING

Artist Beth Williams will guide students in this six-week watercolor and drawing course for beginners. All your supplies are supplied- no need to buy anything, we have it all for you. So come spend Thursdays learning something new, and making beautiful art. Note: Intermediate students are welcome to join in.)
PRETTY PRESENTS FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Thursday, December 7th | 6:30-8:00
Spend the evening learning how to make simple holiday packages beautiful, quirky, or more creative. Using recycled materials, everyday scraps, and paper students will create lovely presents. From decorating a wine bottle to stand out from the typical "wine bags" to building the perfect bow. We'll make simple handmade gift tags and stamp wrapping paper in unique forms. Join Kathleen Fox for this fun and entertaining evening.

Come create simple and beautiful watercolor images. Coined "minis" because of their 4"x 4" size, students will learn easy techniques to make several original pieces that can be made into gorgeous frame-able art, given as holiday gifts, or produced into one-of-a kind cards. Using vintage medical boxes as frames, you'll create two watercolor scenes that fit perfectly into each side of your box. More experienced painters will work on more complex scenes. If you're less experienced then simple and colorful vegetables are for you. A gorgeous gift to give anyone - or ... a lovely way to treat yourself. Instructor: Caroline Davila (Yep, she's awesome!). We're fond of saying at CAMP - you must know the rules, before you can break them. Most art relies on drawing principles so come spend Monday evenings with instructor, Kristen Solecki, and fine-tune your drawing skills. An array of techniques and tools are provided to help you develop or enhance your artistic style. Drawing experience preferred, but not necessary. Students work at their own level of expertise with guidance from the instructor.

Each week we’ll kick-start our creativity with a unique project, talk shop, and connect with like-minded creative thinkers. This class is to get adults to learn how "to play again" and by doing so, learn to create new art, enhance their current art, or just have a fun time. All supplies are included. Join local children's book writers for critiques, industry discussions, and inspiration. This critique group is for picture book, middle grade, and young adult authors who are seriously seeking publication. Participants should have full PB manuscripts or W-I-P MG or YA manuscripts. CHILDREN'S BOOK WRITERS - The Get Started Mini Series

FABRIC COLLAGE (Adults and Teens)

Create a personalized one-of-a-kind fabric collage inspired through imagery. Magazines will be an excellent source of inspiration to begin the process. Fusible web, masking tape, a needle, thread, fabric, and an iron will all be tools used to create this unique type of art. Students will walk away with a framed piece of art at the end of the day. We provide everything you'll need, but feel free to bring in fabric, paper, photos, or images that are special to you to included in your artwork. Instructor: Jaclyn Williams. Bring a bag lunch.
PACKING TAPE IMAGE TRANSFER ART

PERFECT HOLIDAY GIFTS!
Just in time for the holidays! Come transfer beautiful images to personalize your gifts. We'll supply 5 votive candle holders and several images to choose from - but feel free to make this workshop truly your own by bringing five different objects you wish to transfer images onto. Objects can include wine glasses, regular glasses, small flat glass charms, canisters, brown packaging paper, coasters, wood, canvas, and small pieces of furniture. Students can also bring pre-printed images (computer printed images (black and white or colored), favorite magazines, or actual photos. Instructor: Jaclyn Williams. Bring a bag lunch.

Let's embed! Come create extremely interesting resin molds using all sorts of items. Super gratifying outcome! Make unique personal jewelry, coasters, table tops… the possibilities are endless. We'll supply dried flowers, feathers, and stones but feel free to make this class your own by bringing in anything you'd love to embed. Examples: Photos, sprinkles, sea shells, driftwood, miniature trinkets, etc. Instructor: Jaclyn Williams. Bring a bag lunch.
KICK-START your CREATIVITY WORKSHOP

Artist or not, one of the most vital things we can do is nurture our creativity. But what if we've lost it? Or blocked it? Or let our daily tasks squash it? PRINTMAKING WITH KRISTEN SOLECKI (Adults/Teens)

Join Kristen and learn to print make. You'll carve your block, roll the ink and transfer a one-of-a-kind image onto paper. Best of all, you'll leave with beautiful handmade art.
