CREATIVE WRITING with Alex Odom

Come spend 4-weeks honing your craft with other writers and explore what makes stories successful. BEGINNING SEWING for ADULTS

This easy-going adult learn-to-sew class starts with the machine basics, cutting fabric with a rotary cutter, pattern cutting, and construction. We'll make three projects: a patchwork throw pillow, a drawstring bag, and a pair of pajama shorts or pants. Students are welcome to bring their own machine to learn on, or use one of our machines. INTRODUCTION TO SCREENWRITING

She'll talk you through the basics of formatting a script and the differences between screenwriting and "regular" writing. By the end, you'll be ready to dive into writing your first screenplay. The hand colored pages will then be torn and cut to piece together into your own collaged masterpiece on an 11 x 14 canvas board. Original and handmade- it doesn't get better than that!
